Aim of course
– to introduce divers to underwater archaeology
– to increase awareness for underwater cultural heritage
– to promote the idea of sustainable diving
– to create multiplications for these ideas and to introduce important contactless
documentations techniques in underwater archaeology
– to increase the everyday personal experience of divers for underwater cultural heritage on
the background of better knowledge of its parts

Student performance objectives
By the end of the course the diver should
– be familiar to the basic archaeological methods
– know important archaeological sights and be able to recognize them
– dive sustainably due to his/her more comprehensive understanding of archaeological

Prerequisites for participants (minimum requirements)
– age of 16 years
– PTRD Entry Professional Diver or equivalent
– valid medical certificate
